I have had only a few months of experience with marital arts and I have only trained at 4 Winds for a couple weeks, but I can say for certain that it's the best place I have trained at. When I was searching for a different martial arts school, I wanted to find a place where I could get more than just a workout. Not only did I want to learn valuable self-defense skills, but I also wanted to learn about the art itself. Most importantly, I was looking for an instructor who understood martial arts at both a physical and spiritual level and who was able to effectively teach others. Sifu Bob fits that description but he is also much more than that. His patience never diminishes, even with someone as uncoordinated and inflexible as myself! Thanks to Sifu Bob's instruction, I am slowly becoming more coordinated and flexible. He is kind and supportive and he always encourages me to ask questions if I'm confused. He goes over all of the forms I have learned thus far as many times as necessary in order for me to understand and remember them. It is obvious that he is a true master of martial arts and he has a passion for what he does. After the very first class, I knew that 4 Winds Martial Arts was the place for me and Sifu Bob is really the best instructor I could have asked for.
